Ronaldo Lemos is the director of the Center for Technology and Society at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) School of Law in Rio de Janeiro. Dr. Lemos is the head professor of Intellectual Property law at FGV Law School. He is also the director of the Creative Commons Brazil and chairman of the Board of iCommons. He has earned his LL.B. and LL.D. from the University of Sao Paulo, and his LL.M. from Harvard Law School. He is the author of three books, including "Direito, Tecnologia e Cultura," published by FGV Press, 2005, and "Tecnobrega", published in 2008. He coordinates various projects, such as the Cultura Livre project, and the Open Business Project, an international initiative taking place in Brazil, Nigeria, Chile, Mexico, South Africa and the UK. He is one of the founders of Overmundo, winner of the Digital Communities Golden Nica, granted by the Prix Ars Electronica 2007. He is also curator of the TIM Festival, the largest music festival in Brazil.

Ronaldo Lemos est directeur du Centre pour la technologie et la société à l’École de droit de la fondation Getúlio Vargas (FGV). Dr Lemos est professeur de droit de la propriété intellectuelle à la faculté de droit FGV. Il est également directeur de Creative Commons Brésil et président du conseil d’iCommons. Il a obtenu sa licence et sa maîtrise en droit à l’Université de Sao Paulo, et son master en droit à Harvard Law School. Il est l’auteur de trois livres, dont Direito, Tecnologia e Cultura, publié par FGV Press, en 2005, et Technobrega, publié en 2008. Il coordonne divers projets, comme le projet Cultura Livre, et le projet Open Business, une initiative internationale qui se tient au Brésil, au Nigeria, au Chili, au Mexique, en Afrique du Sud et au Royaume-Uni. Il est l’un des fondateurs de Overmundo, lauréat d’or (Golden Nica) du Prix Ars Electronica des communautés numériques (2007). Il est également commissaire du Festival TIM, le plus grand festival de musique du Brésil.
